After knowing the price, you have no obligation to buy the product. You can simply remove items from your shopping cart. I still remember the first GLOCK pistol I ever saw. In 1987 or 1988 it was at a Long's drug store in Colorado Springs. I went to the drugstore to buy a Colt 1911 and saw a GLOCK 17, which was the only model made at the time. I fell in love with it right there and walked out of the drugstore instead of the Colt 1911. I remember how good the GLOCK 17 felt in my hand. Well, in those days, few people gave a second magazine for a pistol. I also remember wondering what material the case was made of, and the clerk behind the counter could only tell me that it was some kind of "plastic". I bought it anyway
Since you first bought a GLOCK 17, you've probably owned all but the optional GLOCK 18. 18 because it is limited to law enforcement and military sales. But I did get a chance to shoot the Glock 18 and it was a blast. Literally! I worked with the late Colonel Rex Applegate on the first video produced by Paladin Press and we had a prototype GLOCK 23 to play with. It worked most of the time. It came with an unmodified GLOCK 19 magazine and the rounds did not always feed properly.

The gun we are talking about today is the GLOCK 19 Gen 4 9mm pistol, which is probably the best generation to date. It has four back straps, two to make the grip thicker or bulkier and two to slightly increase the strap. Some people who wear gloves have experienced them getting caught when the slider hits their gloved hand, so you won't have that problem with the raised backstrap. (I myself had no problem shooting Glock with gloves.)
The GLOCK 19, Gen 4 weighs 23.65 ounces, has a 4.02-inch barrel, and a trigger pull of about 5.5 pounds. Magazines (3 pcs) hold 15 9mm rounds each. The barrel is hexagonal in that it is not rifled.
The trigger is what GLOCK calls a Safe Action Trigger. There is a small lever in the center of the trigger and you cannot fire the gun until your finger is on the trigger. There are also several built-in guards, but you don't have to do anything. The scope has a white dot polymer on the front and a polymer on the back. However, it has a "U" shape and rises very quickly. Most of these sights are not suitable for target shooting, but most people who buy a Glock do so for self-defense or duty purposes, not target practice. If you want to put a different type of scope on your rifle, you can easily change the scope. However, you will need a GLOCK front sight kit to replace the front sight.

I have heard that the GLOCK 19 is the most popular model in the GLOCK line. The GLOCK 19 is smaller than the full size 17 and larger than the subcompact 26. As Goldilocks says, "it's right". The 19 is certainly my favorite GLOCK model as well. My eldest daughter and wife also have a GLOCK 19. They are concealed weapons license holders. The polymer frame has finger grooves on the front strap and small "steps" on the side and rear straps to ensure a secure grip in all weather conditions.

The recoil spring setup on the 4th generation model 19 is slightly stiffer than the previous generation. And you can safely shoot 9mm x 19mm P+ and P+ without any problems. The slides have a tenifer coating to prevent corrosion. I've heard that plating is actually harder than diamond. And even if the black paint peels off, the coating remains, so the slides won't rust. And as mentioned, the frame is polymer.
Also, the extractor has some additional features. When there is a round in the chamber, you can see or feel the small protrusion of the extractor.
All GLOCKs are easily disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. All you have to do is remove the magazine, check the breech to make sure there is no ammunition in the barrel, point the gun in the safe direction, and squeeze the trigger. Then, while pulling the takedown lever down, retract the slide about 1/4 inch and the slide will release. The spring and barrel assembly can then be removed. Slide the barrel back into the slide, then slide the recoil spring assembly back into the frame. So easy!
All GLOCKs have a magazine loader and loading the magazines is a bit difficult. I don't have a problem, but many people do. It's much easier to load a magazine with a mag loader, let it sit for a week or two, and then load the magazine the next time because the spring is locked.

GLOCK pistols do not require much lubrication. However, my Model 19 is always lubricated with Italian Gun Grease (http://www.italiangungrease.com/) and it is also the best gun grease I have ever used. I also like Blackhawk http://www.blackhawk.com/ SERPA products. Concealed carry, the tactical thigh holster is low and out of the way, making it a perfect mission holster.
While testing the GLOCK 19, Gen 4, I had a variety of ammo from Black Hills ammo and Buffalo Buffalo ammo including standard velocity, +P and even +P+ loads and had no issues with the 19 at all. .
I had a 100g frangible bullet that was mainly used at indoor gun ranges in the Black Hills. When the round hits the steel backing, it shatters almost completely. I also had a round of Black Hills 115g FMJ. Black Hills 115-gr +P Barnes All Copper Hollow TAC-XP Waiting for more spot rods. When I asked, they went out. Barnes 15g all hollow copper TAC-XP +P, 124g FMJ FN +P+, 124g JHP +P, 115g JHP +P+ and 147g JHP +P+ from Buffalo Bore.

All accuracy tests were done on a roll-up sleeping bag at 25 yards.
